VS Code extension

Install the MTLX extension from the VS Code Marketplace or Open VSX. It brings MaterialX preview and editing into the IDE and shares the open-source core and viewer packages with the web tools.

The source and setup guide are in the MaterialX repository. Use the web editor when you need a browser workflow or want to share a material page.
